"Since no session details of Frank Virtue recordings are available to date, we decided to add a list of the U.S. releases 1953-1969 instead (in order by release date), plus foreign releases if issued earlier than its U.S. counter piece. The recordings made prior to 1957 had been recorded at unknown locations in either Philadelphia, on the New Jersey side or in New York. The recordings from 1957 to 1961 were recorded at Virtue Recording Lab, in the basement of his house on 8500 Fayette Street in Philadelphia, until he moved to his then new Virtue Recording Studios at 1618 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA, in 1962, where the remaining tracks had been recorded." -- from pamphlet.
